Colonial 1951 Deluxe Model Sewing Machine, Restored by Stagecoach Road
Made in mid-Century Japan, the Colonial is what's affectionately known as a "clone", meaning that it's patterned after Singer's famous class 15 machines but with some significant improvements.
The Japanese manufacturers took a proven design and added a stronger motor, improved controls, and a superior paint that can withstand harsher conditions than that on the original class 15 machines.
This pretty machine sews straight-stitch and she uses standard needles and standard class 15 bobbins, the most common in the world, the ones you see at every department store, and she uses common low-shank feet so a huge array of feet and attachments can be found online or at your local sewing store.
With proper care, she's ready to sew for another 100 years so she's an heirloom to pass down to your children or your grandchildren.
Make this sweet machine yours and bring her home to your sewing room, today.
